Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday announced that Andhra Pradesh is racing ahead in finalising the Swarnandhra Vision-2047 to make the State a frontrunner in all the fields mainly by exploring opportunities due to advances made in deeptech like robotics, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, predictive and data analytics and drone technology.
Addressing DeepTech/GovTech Innovation Conclave organised here, he recalled how the revolutionary decisions taken by him during his stint as Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh in IT led to transformation of Hyderabad into a global IT hub. He mentioned how he was instrumental in convincing Bill Gates to open his first development centre outside the United States in Hyderabad and promoting worldwide investment potential by setting up Hitech City at Madhapur, thus creating a new Hyderabad in Gachibowli and Madhapur areas.
The conclave, first of its kind post-bifurcation, was organised by Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation (GFST) led by former Chief Secretary SP Tucker. GFST is a not-for-profit think tank and policy advisory group formed to facilitate knowledge sharing and enterprise promotion of sustainable transformation of economies and communities for well-being and happiness.
Naidu said now with the support of visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narenda Modi, being part of NDA, the State Government is committed to spearhead a transformative agenda by integrating futuristic technologies to revolutionise governance, healthcare, MSMEs and other sectors driving collective well-being, sustainable growth, inclusivity and innovation.
He said amid loud applause that the TDP-led NDA Government's focus is on building a strong foundation for creating a tech-enabled Swarnandhra Pradesh algined with Viksit Bharat@2047. He said their aim is to grow at 15 per cent and remain on top among all the top performing States and ensure transparency and accountability by popularising deeptech on a real-time basis at all levels.
Explaining the advantages of Andhra Pradesh in cashing in on demographic dividends, he said the State has unveiled various policies to attract investments from all over the world in drone technology, blockchain, robotics, AI and other futuristic technologies and to spread innovation culture and encourage startups with seed funding, mentorship and data on case studies of various innovative solutions to reduce cost of operation.
Naidu said through drones, IoT, CCTV, RTG (realtime governance) and cloud a lot of things can be done to improve the quality of living and pave the way for better delivery mechanisms.
